WELCOME

Welcome back! It was a wet weekend, but I still hope you enjoyed it! I hope you realize that we only have 24.5 days left in school with much to do! I tell you this for all to recognize a little urgency as we finish the school year.  MAP testing, 4th quarter grades, final projects are all on the lists of things to complete well!

PBJHS CAMPUS DAMAGES

We have a small number of students who are not taking pride in the facilities we have at JH.  Especially the new restrooms.  We have damage to dividers, to soap dispensers, to towel dispensers, and graffiti on some walls.  It is a shame to see a handful of students ruining a beautiful facility for the rest of us! This is what self-managing is all about...students can help stop destruction, students have to be a part of stopping bullying, and other unwanted behaviors...THIS IS YOUR SCHOOL!  TAKE PRIDE IN IT!

MAP SPIRIT WEEK

We will kick off MAP testing by having a short assembly in the gym at 7:35 on Thursday morning.  Mrs. Gambill and her committee are in charge of this.  They have done a great job with their inspirational signs in the hall and the spirit dress-up week.

  • Monday- Dress for Success Be Successful on The MAP:  Dress like a professional and wear a tie (even with at t-shirt):  bow ties, clip-ons, any tie.

  • Tuesday- Music T-Shirt Day:  Scoring Well is Music To Our Ears, Wear your favorite band or musician t-shirt.

  • Wednesday- Decade Day:  Teachers included,  Score 70 percent or higher on the MAP and wear 70’s attire or 80’s or 90’s!

  • Thursday-  Rest your Brain…. Wear PAJAMAS!

  • Friday- Winners Work Hard:  Dress in your favorite professional sports attire

CAPTURING KIDS’ HEARTS

Wow! What an honor! We are a National Showcase School! We have our banner [proudly displayed in the front entrance! Great job kiddos!  Keep up the great work!

CELL PHONE REMINDER
Cell phones are to be on silent or off and put away at all times unless you have teacher permission (per the handbook); This includes in the hallway, bathrooms and the cafeteria.  Cell phones will be taken and put in the office for a parent to pick-up if they are seen being used without permission from a teacher.

CLOTHING CHOICES

Please check short length, shirt coverage, and any other possible clothing issue (like holes in your pant legs) prior to coming to school.  We have had to have students change already!  Dress appropriately for school!

PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION (PDA)

With spring in the air it seems like love is too! However, there is a time and place for all things, and school is not the time or place for any public displays of affection (PDA).  This includes girls holding hands with their friends and hugging each other as well. Please keep this in check!
