WELCOME

Welcome Back!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!  This is going to be a fun, short week! No school on Thursday or Friday!


Spirit Week

Spirit week is this week!  Monday is costume day!! 

Remember that masks, nothing scary and props are not allowed on this day.  I need everyone to follow the rules if we are going to keep allowing a costume day!  You guys did a great job with this last year.


Yearbook Sales

Order your yearbook!  They go on sale October 1st and are $25 if you order now! The price does go up.


Pumpkins

The last day to vote on pumpkins will be this Tuesday!  Bring your money and drop in the jars for your favorites.  You guys did a great job on the pumpkins!!  Voting continues this week! Bring all your change and vote for your favorite!  $1 =100 votes and $5=500 votes. I’d love to be able to donate a good sized amount to your charity!!


STUCO

All members need to meet in Mrs. Berry’s room Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 7am. We need to discuss convention and your shirts are here!  Also, If you are running for office you need to make campaign posters and or videos. Voting will take place on November 8th.


Fundraiser Items

All fundraiser items will be in on November 7th.


November Students of the Month

Congratulations to the November Students of the Month, for House Hansbrough: Logan Reeder,Brendan Durden, Caleb Tuttle, Nicholai Lane, Lauryn Wilkerson, Lauren Hobbs, Jodi McElhaney, PeytonGamblin, Carlando Williams, Jaylum Hood-Daniels, Christian Griffin.


Congratulations to the November Students of the Month, for House Innes: Mar’Lon Hickman-Roberson, Cayden Larkins, Preston Moore, Madeline Payne, Keona Sample, Addison Shell, Brennen White, Abigail Wilson, Olivia Robertson, Paris Howell, Zechariah Schulte.


Fall Dance

The fall dance will be on November 8th from 6-8 PM.  The dress code is casual (jeans, tshirts, etc.. ) The admission to get in is $4, but if you bring in a non perishable food item for our canned food drive, you will only have to pay $3.  A no go list will be sent out that week.


Swim Club

We will have our first swim club day at The BRC, 5 Nov.  3:30-4:30. Ms. East will send an email reminder next week and the week after.  


Congrats to Bloodworth House

Congratulations to Bloodworth House for winning the house competition for the last four week period.  They will get ice cream this week as a celebration!



WASHINGTON DC TRIP

The deadline to register for the Washington DC Trip has been extended until November 1, 2019.. If any 8th grader  is still interested in going, contact Mrs. Moncier in Room 207.
