                                   FOR STUDENTS

Poplar Bluff Junior High School

 WELCOME

Welcome back!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Only 8 school days left of 2018. Finish strong!

Elective Students of the Month will be honored with a pizza party on Tuesday, December 11  during their Academic Lab and lunch. 7th grade SOTM will report to room 107 at the beginning of 5th hour. 8th grade SOTM will report to room 107 at the beginning of 6th hour.

Blitz Day

We will be registering for Blitz Day on Monday morning.  Blitz Day will be held sometime before the end of the semester (the date is a surprise).  You might want to make sure you bring money for concessions with you and have it on hand for the surprise day.

Christmas Spirit Week December 17-19

House T-shirts

Don’t forget to wear your house t-shirts on Wednesday!

Bullying

I am seeing way too many issues where students are choosing to be mean and unkind to each other.  This is resulting in students gossiping and spreading rumors about other students that may or may not be true, which is turning into discipline referrals.  This needs to stop NOW! You are here to get an education. Choose to be kind or to be quiet.

Effort

I need you all to put forth your best effort and finish the second semester strong!  We only have 3 weeks and then we will be off for Christmas Break. I’d like to see no office referrals and low ICU referrals this next three weeks..  Semester grades are what determines if you are promoted to the next grade or not. Buckle down and take care of business.

Hallway Behavior

The hallways have become way too loud during passing times and in the mornings coming up from breakfast.  There is no need to shout and scream. Use inside voices or you will be asked to go back and try again until it’s an acceptable noise level.
