WELCOME

It’s a short week this week, but let’s make the most of it!

SCHOOL PICTURES

Spring school pictures will be taken this Wednesday (4/12) in PE Classes.

SPRING BREAK

Spring break will begin on Thursday, April 13 and students will return on Tuesday, April 18th.  Enjoy this time with friends and family and come back to school re-energized to finish the year strong.

CELL PHONE REMINDER

Cell phones are to be on silent or off and put away at all times unless you have teacher permission (per the handbook); This includes in the hallway, bathrooms and the cafeteria.  Cell phones will be taken and put in the office for a parent to pick-up if they are seen being used without permission from a teacher.

ASSEMBLY BEHAVIOR

I want to personally thank you and tell you how proud I was of the excellent behavior at the Stand for the Silent Assembly last week.  I hope each and every one of you took Mr. Smalley’s message to heart.  Bullying will not  be tolerated at PBJHS.  Stand up for each other and be nice to each other.

SCHOOL PRIDE

This school is your school and we want you to have pride in your school and respect it.  Hold each other accountable for taking care of it.  If you see vandalism or destruction occurring in the restrooms/locker rooms, etc.. let someone know.  We will respect your anonymity.  You can report it on the “I Want Someone to Know” form on Schoology.

ACADEMIC LABS

Academic lab time is a time for students to work on homework and get help from teachers.  It is not a time to roam the halls, hang out in the bathroom or head down to a different lunch hour. Students are expected to remain in class during this time.  If students need to leave the class for any reason, a hall pass should be used or a teacher pass issued by the teacher.

EDUCATIONAL TALENT SEARCH

Educational Talent Search students who are planning to go on one of the Spring field trips; You must turn in your permission slips to the counselors ASAP or you will not be allowed to go.  It is your responsibility to turn in your permission slip!

CLOTHING CHOICES

Please check short length, shirt coverage, and any other possible clothing issue (like holes in your pant legs) prior to coming to school.  We have had to have students change already!  Dress appropriately for school!

PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION (PDA)

With spring in the air it seems like love is too! However, there is a time and place for all things, and school is not the time or place for any public displays of affection (PDA).  This includes girls holding hands with their friends and hugging each other as well. Please keep this in check!

MORNING RESTROOM AND/OR VENDING MACHINE USE

For your safety and knowing your location for supervision, the gym lobby restroom is available to use before school.  Also, the vending machine in the lobby is for your use prior to dismissal from the gym.  All other bathrooms and vending machines in the building are off limits prior to dismissal from the gym.

CARDINAL GAME FOR THE FUNDRAISER

Those of you who qualified for the trip to the Cardinal game later this spring will be glad to know the date is set!  We will watch the Cardinals play the Blue Jays on Thursday, April 27th.  Game time is 12:45.  We will leave PBJHS at approximately 8:00 a.m.
