Poplar Bluff Junior High School
December 11-December 15, 2017
WELCOME
Welcome Back! I hope everyone had a great weekend! We have 7 days left of school.. Let’s make them count!
Finals
-
Finals will be on Thursday (1st, 6th and 8th), Friday (2,4,5) and Monday (3rd and 7th)
-
December 14, 15 and 18
-
This semester they will count for 10% of the semester grade
-
Waivers will be accepted if the student has the paper and turns it in. If they have lost their paper, they will not receive another one.
-
CKH Nomination
We have been nominated as a CKH showcase school and have made it to the next round. This is awesome news!
Bullying
I am seeing way too many issues where students are choosing to be mean and unkind to each other. This is resulting in students gossiping and spreading rumors about other students that may or may not be true, which is turning into discipline referrals. This needs to stop NOW! You are here to get an education. Choose to be kind or to be quiet.
Christmas Spirit Week

Monday- Pajama Day
-
Tuesday- Ugly Christmas Sweater
-
Wednesday- Candy Cane Day- Wear red and white

Kindness Challenge

Christmas Assembly
Our Christmas Assembly will be on Tuesday, December 19 during 8th hour. The band and choir will be performing. We will announce canned food winners and door winners! I hope to do our Santa and Grinch and play a Christmas game of some kind. All ideas welcome!
Attendance
The perfect attendance pizza party is coming up! We will have some awesome prizes!
Effort
I need you all to put forth your best effort and finish the second semester strong! We only have 7 days and then we will be off for Christmas Break. I’d like to see no office referrals and low ICU referrals this next three weeks.. Semester grades are what determines if you are promoted to the next grade or not. Buckle down and take care of business.
Student ID’s
Students must have their ID’s for lunch and breakfast or they will go to the end of the line. ID’s are to be worn every day, all day.
