Poplar Bluff Junior High School
October 30 -November 3, 2017
WELCOME
I hope everyone enjoyed their four day weekend! This week will be a fun week to be at school!
Students of the Month
Congratulations to:
Team 3 Students: Dustin Dean, Nick Howard, Tylei Blackmon, Ahna Maycroft, Sydney Kramer, Julia Chambliss, Mikalla Little, Tristan LaBarre, Madison Petterson, and Michael Miller.
Team 6 Students: Bailey Weldon, Emma Eubank, Tymber Colvin, Courtney Padgett, Vanessa Adams, Devin Gatewood, Seth Champlin, Ethan Alford, Alice Thompson, and Freddie Politte.
Student ID’s
We will be scanning your student ID’s for breakfast and lunch now. If you don’t have your ID on, you will go to the back of the line! Wear it!
Hallway Tickets
This week teachers will be handing out hallway tickets for inappropriate hallway behaviors. This can include: running, screaming, loitering, wearing earbuds, and using profanity, just to name a few. Five tickets will equal a detention and 10 will equal ISS. Make good choices.
Bright Futures Food Drive
Monday, October 30, is the last day to bring in canned meat for our Scare Away Hunger Drive. Mrs. Yarbro will let us know which homeroom won and they will get a doughnut party!
ICU
We are seeing way too many students in ICU. Take care of getting your work done on time! Your teachers all give a 24 hour warning that you will be on ICU, if it’s not completed. There’s no excuse for not doing your work on time.
Quarter Grades
Report cards have all been mailed home or given out at conferences. Any student who earned two or more F’s at quarter, will be required to meet with me and his/her parents to work out an academic contract with certain things that will have to be done going forward. Those letters went out this week.
Red Ribbon Week
Congrats to Mercedes Baguio for designing a great poster for Red Ribbon Week. We are giving prizes for the best theme participant each day in the gym! Make sure you are participating! Click HERE to see the poster!
